Uncomfortable Feelings Can Actually Mean You’re On The Right Path

Are you experiencing any uncomfortable changes lately and wondering what is going on?

Does it feel like your world is falling apart, and you’re not quite sure why or how to pull it all together?

Well, there might be a good reason, and it may be you’re going through a spiritual transition.

A spiritual what?

A spiritual transition involves change, and any type of change, as we all know can be difficult—especially if it is not voluntary. Change is typically two-dimensional, whereas a spiritual transition is more three-dimensional. A two-dimensional transition is like moving from point A to point B—there is no upset, drama or chaos. Most of the time change of this type is purely external—you can change your brand of toothpaste, your home, or career and still remain essentially the same.

A spiritual transition, on the other hand, tends to shake us up, alters our inner and outer worlds, and can mess with our emotions, our bodies, even our physiology! When you’re in the midst of a spiritual transition, it can feel like your life is falling apart and nothing seems to be going the right way–everything feels like an effort! You may be wondering what the h*ll is going on? The truth is, having a spiritual transition isn’t a ton of fun. Things can feel very uncertain and you don’t quite know where life is taking you.

Usually when things seem out of your control we tend to look for what’s causing these changes. You might even think that ‘you didn’t create them,’ or this is happening ‘to you.’ In my experience, whenever we decide to grow or transform, it’s often followed by some period of spiritual transition. It can last for days, weeks, even months. It is nearly impossible, in the midst of these changes, to remember that you may have ‘asked’ for this—usually on a subconscious level. What I always try to remember during these challenging times is that everything happening is for my highest good. Even if I’m filled with discomfort, and can hardly sit still, I make a daily effort to ask for the willingness in me to realize that my soul, or Spirit rather, is working on my behalf, and is leading me in the best possible direction for my greatest good.

Most spiritual transition is positive, and yet it can also be very painful. This is part of the larger spiritual journey, to expand awareness and to allow new thoughts that will serve me as the person I am becoming, and indicate you’re on the right path after all. If you find yourself going through an inexplicably tough time, it’s good to remember there are things in your life that may be changing, or ending because it’s time for an upgrade, time to make space for what’s to come, something all new, and so much better.

For instance, feeling lost can actually be a sign you’re becoming more present in your life – you’re living less within the narratives and ideas that you premeditated, and more in the moment at hand–this is a very zen concept, and congratulations it can also mean that you’re in the midst of a marvelous upgrade! It takes time to get used to this, it does feel as though you’re off track (trust me, you aren’t).

If you find that you’re seeing issues you struggled with as a kid reappear in your adult life, on the surface this may seem like something you’ve been struggling to overcome, it can also mean you are becoming conscious of a limiting pattern so you can change it, and you now have the tools and consciousness to do it. I have to often remind myself that I am the most evolved person I’ve ever been in this moment, and if a problem from my past surfaces, it means I also possess the consciousness to heal it from a higher three-dimensional place.

So often we think that WE make all our decisions but we have this Higher Self aspect that also works on our behalf. We are multidimensional beings and there is a part of us that isn’t only physically focused. I might also point out, when in the midst of any spiritual transition, as you ride the many waves of discomfort, deep down inside you know it is for the best. The spiritual truth, and three dimensional reality is that what you’re going through is temporary, (this too shall pass) and if you choose instead to ‘go with the flow’ and turn toward the pain instead of away from it, it can be a potent time to open yourself up to what is unfolding for you.

If you feel that you are going through a spiritual transition, the best way to deal with it is to accept the process and enjoy the ride. Even though the process may be confronting, confusing and heavy, it is also extremely powerful time to transform and shape your life in amazing ways, and on multiple dimensions.

Many blessings on your journey!
